Green Beer
Green Beer is the most popular drink for St. Patrick’s Day and for good reason, it’s just fun to drink a green beer.
Although most people make green beer by adding food coloring, you can also make green beer by adding the liqueur Blue Curacuo as well. Here are the instructions:
To start with, get a frosty cold beer mug from the freezer.
Next, place a few drops of green food coloring in the bottom prior to the beer. Here is where you could use Blue Curacuo instead if you prefer.
Finally, Pour in a very light colored beer so the green color can be seen. Toast your friends and family and enjoy! Check out these:
Irish Coffee
Sometimes just coffee alone will not do the trick. So, do as the Irish do and add some good old fashioned Irish whiskey to the mix. A longtime favorite of Irish pubs! Just get the best Irish whiskey, some good coffee and a little fresh whipped cream.
Ingredients:
2 1/2 oz strong, hot coffee
1 1/2 oz Irish whiskey
1 tsp brown sugar or sugar cubes
1 oz whipping cream
Instructions:
Pour the coffee, Irish whiskey and sugar into an Irish coffee glass or mug. Stir well. Top off with some sweet whip cream.
Green Martini
I’m not sure the Ireland of old drank these back in the day, but we can.
Emeral Isle
Ingredients:
1 oz gin
1 tsp green creme de menthe
2 quick dashes of bitters
1 mint leave
Apple Martini
Ingredients:
Cinnamon and sugar for glass rim
1 oz vodka
1 oz sour-apple schnapps
1 oz lemonade
1 oz lemon-lime soda (7-Up or Sprite)
Midori Sour
Ingredients:
1 oz Midori melon liqueur
1 oz whiskey sour mix
2 oz Sprite soda
